PREORDER Looking Forward to the Messiah: An Advent Devotional for Latter-day Saint Families

Help your kids anticipate Christmas as a celebration of the Savior-- not just a day to open presents.

Looking Forward to the Messiah is an Advent devotional for Latter-day Saint families with kids ages 3+. Each day in December, read aloud a 3–5 minute story about an individual or group from the Book of Mormon who waited-- some for hundreds of years!-- for Jesus to be born. Verses from the Book of Mormon are woven into in every story, so kids hear from the scriptures as they listen.

From the Brother of Jared 2200 years before Christ’s birth through the faithful Nephites and Lamanites who experienced the night without darkness, discover how each person’s belief in Jesus Christ’s coming changed their lives-- and how their stories can change your kids' Christmas season.

Every story comes with an original watercolor illustration card. Each day, kids can find the corresponding card and set it on the included wooden stand so it becomes part of your Christmas decor and a reminder of those who joyfully anticipated the Savior's birth.

And because Jesus belongs at the center of Christmas Day, a final story for December 25 connects the way ancient people waited for Christ's birth with the way that latter-day disciples await His Second Coming.
